New England Water Science Center Associate Director Selections
The New England Water Science Center is happy to announce the selection of Jonathan Morrison as Associate Director of the Applied Hydrology Program and Gregory Stewart as Associate Director of the Hydrologic Monitoring Program.
Transportation-Related Water Projects in New England
The New England Water Science Center collects data and does interpretive studies on hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration and State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) in New England and other states.
New England WSC Hydrologic Monitoring Program Summer 2021 Update
Streamflow conditions in New England were variable from North to South during the period of mid-June to late August and leading up to this period, drought conditions appeared imminent. However, most of central and southern New England received above normal precipitation, which lead to above normal streamflow conditions.
Science in Support of Aquatic-Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration
Human land- and water-management practices have resulted in modifications to natural streamflow conditions and reduced the ecological health of aquatic communities. Working in collaboration with our many partners, the New England Water Science Center provides data and scientific analyses to inform and support aquatic-ecosystem conservation and restoration.
