Lee Stanish
Dr. Lee Stanish (she/her) is a Product Owner in the Web Communications Branch of the USGS Water Resources Mission Area
Lee aids in delivering mission-critical water data to researchers, stakeholders and the public. She and her colleagues take a user-centered approach to developing software and web resources for data access and discovery.
She earned a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where her research focused on algal ecology and responses to environmental change in polar streams. Her later work focused on applying ecological principles to aquatic microbes in the built environment, including bioreactors, municipal drinking water, and residential groundwater wells.
