William G. Seelig

William Seelig is a Hydrologist with the USGS New Mexico Water Science Center

I am involved in water sustainability studies to understand impacts to water quality, how much water is currently available, surface water-groundwater interactions, and how they affect availability. My research involves the use of near-surface geophysical techniques to investigate subsurface structure, hydrogeology, and changes in aquifer storage in recovery.

Since joining USGS, I have also been involved in outreach and communication efforts including the USGS Evening Public Lecture Series, USGS ShakeAlert Earthquake Early Warning Program and STEM outreach in the El Paso/Las Cruces region.
