One Health Conceptual Diagram.
Detailed Description
The USGS One Health approach addresses the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. This approach helps to answer questions on how and where environmental contaminants originate, how they move through the environment to points of human and wildlife exposure along a source to receptor pathway, and provides an understanding of whether they pose a health hazard for wildlife. The conceptual diagram shows some of the interactions among three compartments: human health, animal health, and environmental conditions.
