This technical memorandum pertains to changes in the minimum reporting limit (MRL) for dissolved ammonia nitrogen in chilled and chilled-acidified samples (see table below), effective October 1, 1997. Specifically, it announces a change in the MRL for these tests from 0.015 milligrams of nitrogen per liter (mg-N/L) to 0.02 mg-N/L.
Linda Pratt
Linda began her career with the U.S. Geological Survey in 1984 as a physical science technician at the National Water Quality Laboratory.
Following graduation from the Colorado School of Mines, Linda became a bench chemist, performing laboratory analyses on water samples. In 1992, she became the manager of Laboratory Operations at the NWQL and in 1998, had the opportunity to serve as a liaison between GSA, an architectural firm, and a construction firm for the design and build of a new laboratory facility on the Denver Federal Center. After completing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 2000, Linda accepted a new position as the Associate Director for Operations at the Geologic Hazards Science Center (GHSC) in Golden, CO. Linda has remained at the GHSC since 2000, providing support for administrative, personnel, and IT operations.
