Choosing a Data Access Tool: LP DAAC Data Pool and DAAC2Disk

This video focuses on the Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center’s (LP DAAC) Data Pool and DAAC2Disk. The Data Pool provides direct access to the publicly available data products from the LP DAAC archive. DAAC2Disk enables users to download multiple data products from the Data Pool using a web-based interface, as a script executed from the command line. Data products accessible from Data Pool include those collected by the Aqua and Terra Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensors, the Terra Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) sensor, and many more. The LP DAAC ingests, archives, processes and distributes NASA Earth science land processes data and information.
