Sea-level rise and high tide flooding inundation probability and depth statistics in Nassau and Duval Counties, Florida

This dataset includes elevation-based probability and depth statistics for estimating inundation under various sea-level rise and high tide flooding scenarios in and around the National Park Service’s Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. These datasets were developed using 1-m digital elevation model (DEM) from 2018 with reduced elevation error in coastal wetlands (McHenry and others, 2023).

Cone Penetration Test data of Paleoliquefaction sites in Washington and Oregon

In many parts of the United States and around the globe, the instrumental earthquake record is insufficient to characterize seismic hazard or constrain potential ground motion intensities from individual sources. This lack of data is particularly acute for the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) of the U.S. Pacific Northwest, where paleoseismic evidence suggests a long history of large megathrust event

FLOwPER Database: StreamFLOw PERmanence field observations, Jan 2021 - Dec 2021

IMPORTANT NOTE: This dataset includes spatial locations where streamflow permanence observations (continuous flow, discontinuous flow, and dry) were recorded using the FLOwPER (FLOw PERmanence) field survey available in the Survey 123. Additional information to describe the field conditions are included as part of the survey. Field observations in the FLOwPER Database have not been processed for q

Nitrogen, phosphorus, and suspended-sediment loads and trends measured at the Chesapeake Bay River Input Monitoring stations: Water years 1985-2023

Nitrogen, phosphorus, and suspended-sediment loads, and changes in loads, in major rivers across the Chesapeake Bay watershed have been calculated using monitoring data from the Chesapeake Bay River Input Monitoring (RIM) Network stations for the period 1985 through 2023. Nutrient and suspended-sediment loads and changes in loads were determined by applying a weighted regression approach called WR

Modeled Nutrient and Sediment Concentrations from Major Rivers in Illinois Based on Continuous Monitoring from October 1, 2015, through September 30, 2022

During water years 2016–2022 (a water year begins on October 1 and ends on September 30), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA), operated continuous monitoring stations on eight of the major rivers in Illinois to better quantify nutrient and sediment loadings from the State of Illinois to the Mississippi River. This data

Airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey of the Alabama Graphite-Vanadium Belt and surrounding regions, 2023

Airborne electromagnetic (AEM) and magnetic survey data were collected during March and April 2023 over a distance of 9,000 line kilometers in east central Alabama. Data were acquired by SkyTEM Canada Inc. with the SkyTEM 306HPM time-domain helicopter-borne electromagnetic system together with a Geometrics G822A cesium vapor magnetometer. The survey was acquired at a nominal flight height of 35 -

Plankton occurrence in the Willamette River, Portland, Oregon

This data release contains plankton sampling results collected in the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon. The data release will be updated with new results as they are collected. All samples collected on 05/14/2024 were from USGS station 453027122400000 (Willamette River below the Holgate Channel). Water temperature, specific conductance, dissolved oxygen, pH, and chlorophyll and phycocyanin flu

Waterfowl (Anatidae) Brood Data, Maine, 1977 – 1994

Our data include detailed information about 12 species of Anatidae broods encountered on four study areas in Maine during 1977–1994 as one dataset. The second dataset provides the characteristics of the wetlands which were monitored during the studies. The third dataset enumerates the effort (such as numbers of visits to each wetland) to determine numbers of broods and the number of young that rea

Range-wide salamander densities reveal a key component of terrestrial vertebrate biomass in eastern North American forests

These data have been collected by a collaborative and coordinated research network, SPARCnet (Salamander Population and Adaptation Research Collaboration network). We collected these data to examine patterns in seasonal and latitudinal variation in population density. This data can be used to estimate local salamander biomass, correcting for imperfect detection, and then compare these to estimates

Timing of Occurrence of Waterfowl in U.S. Counties and Canadian Counties, Boroughs, Census Districts, and Other Populated Area Designations with Modeled Exposure Status to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus in 2021-2022

This data provides county level occurrence information for all individuals used in modelling potential exposure and spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAIv) from the 2021-2022 North American outbreak. The data set contains individual identifiers and taxa information, an indicator of exposure, exposure status (Susceptible, Exposed by HPAIv detection in the county, or Exposed by secondary

Dartmouth College Woodlands Wildlife Monitoring Project Volume 1 (2014 - 2024)

This volume's release consists of 46576 media files captured by autonomous wildlife monitoring devices under the project, Dartmouth College Woodlands Wildlife Monitoring Project. The attached files listed below include several CSV files that provide information about the data release. The file, "media.csv" provides the metadata about the media, such as filename and date/time of capture. The actual

Projected mangrove distribution and ecosystem properties in the southeastern United States under climate change

We evaluated changes in mangrove distribution and ecosystem properties in the southeastern United States under climate change using known climate-ecological relationships, recent climate data for the period 1981-2010, and future projected climate data for the period 2071-2100 under two Shared Socio-economic Pathways (SSPs): the SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios, which correspond to intermediate and
