Jill Rolland, Sc.D.
Dr. Jill Rolland oversees USGS centers in the region, represents the region at the bureau level, and represents the USGS at the regional executive level of the Department of the Interior (DOI), its bureaus, and other federal agencies.
Previously, Jill was the Associate Regional Director of the Northwest-Pacific Islands Region starting in 2019, and the Director of the Western Fisheries Research Center (WFRC) since 2012. Jill also served a detail working on a special project for the Deputy Assistant Administrator of NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service in Silver Spring, MD. She received her SES certification in 2020 after completing the SES Candidate Development Program in DOI. Prior to joining the USGS, Jill worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, for ten years.

B.S. in Fisheries from the University of Washington
