My immediate involvement was to get mobilized to go record earthquakes more densely and put out instruments around the epicenter of this magnitude 5.4. It was referred to often as the Little Skull Mountain earthquake and so we embarked on putting together a team. It was complicated by the fact that the earthquake was on the Nevada test site, which is a secure area, so we had to get special training and permission and all this stuff to go out and put out aftershock instruments to better understand this little skull mountain earthquake, not the Landers earthquake. But anyway, if we were able to do so and it was quite an experience working on the test site.
