NMFS Incidental Harassment Authorization

INCIDENTAL HARASSMENT AUTHORIZATIONThe Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University (L-DEO) is hereby authorized under section 101(a)(5)(D) of the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA; 16 U.S.C. 1371(a)(5)(D)) to incidentally harass marine mammals,under the following conditions.1.This Incidental Harassment Authorization (IHA) is valid for one year from the date of issuance.2.This IHA authorizes take incidental to geophysical survey activity in the northeast Pacific Ocean, as specified in L-DEO’s IHA application.
