Kowalski participates in international expert meeting on resilience of Great Lakes coastal wetlands
Working With Our Canadian Partners in the Great Lakes
Kurt Kowalski (GLSC, Ann Arbor, Michigan) attended an expert meeting titled "Assessing and Enhancing the Resilience of Great Lakes Coastal Wetlands" hosted by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) in Burlington, Ontario, Canada on March 25-26, 2019. Canadian and US colleagues worked together to review ECCC’s modelling approaches and offer expert advice on measures of wetland sensitivity and adaptive capacity. Details of a developing science-based coastal wetland vulnerability model for Canadian wetlands were discussed.
