Environmental Assessment

An Environmental Assessment (EA) was prepared for the proposed Energy and Minerals Research Building. This process analyzed potential environmental impacts, mitigations, and provided opportunities for public comment.

In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1970 (NEPA), an Environmental Assessment (EA) was prepared for the proposed construction of a new Energy and Minerals Research Facility, referred to as the EMRF. The EA identified and analyzed potential impacts of the project to the human and natural environment, determined mitigation measures for unavoidable impacts, and provided opportunities for public comment. By following this process, decisionmakers are equipped with the information necessary to make safe and sustainable decisions regarding this proposed Federal action.
