Cameron Marshall

Cameron Marshall is a project manager and subject matter expert for the USGS Water Mission Area Hydrologic Networks Branch.

Cameron is a hydrologist and project manager in the Water Mission Area (WMA) Hydrologic Networks Branch (HNB) Software Team, specifically for the Unified Field Applications and Automated Records Processing efforts.

Cameron began his career in 2007 as a student intern through the Pathways program operating streamgages throughout western Washington. Using UAS (drones), non-contact methods for measuring discharge, and USGS standard methods, he quantified river behavior, stream response, and changes to systems over time. He also applied his expertise to investigative studies like groundwater-surface water interactions, glacier monitoring, and the geomorphology of river systems. Combining a USGS background of field operations, safety program coordination, UAS program co-management, local database administration, investigative studies, and guidance and policy writing, he is excited to further the application of his knowledge to enhance the application development that supports Water Science Centers in all the valuable work they all do.
