Emily Fort is the Deputy Senior Administrator of the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Climate Adaptation Science Center (NCASC).

Emily Fort is the Deputy Senior Administrator of the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Climate Adaptation Science Center (NCASC), headquartered in Reston, Virginia. Prior to this role, Emily served as the national coordinator for communications, data management, and information technology activities for the CASC network. Before coming to the USGS, Emily was the Program Manager for federal collaboration initiatives in the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Budget System Branch. Prior to OMB, Emily served as a program analyst for the National Science Foundation (NSF) where she conducted data management and analyses for NSF. Emily began her career with Project Performance Corporation (PPC), an environmental and IT consulting firm. While at PPC, Emily supported the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management and their strategic planning and budgeting efforts. Emily received a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Master’s Degree in Health Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Physics from Guilford College.
