Renee M. Bowers

Renee Bowers is a Hydrologic Technician for the U.S Geological Survey Nebraska Water Science Center Field Office in North Platte, Nebraska.

Renee began working at the USGS Nebraska Water Science Center in the summers of 2007 and 2008 as a contract student through University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). She graduated from UNL with a bachelor’s degree in water science and officially started full-time in Spring of 2009. Renee grew up spending time at the Twin Platte Natural Resources District learning about Nebraska groundwater and developed a passion for the study of water in Nebraska. "I started measuring groundwater levels and walking across the Platte River when I was 8 years old. To this day I enjoy my fieldwork in any kind of weather and hope to continue doing so until I have to retire." Renee acts as the National groundwater database manager for Nebraska’s discrete groundwater levels.
