The Operational Land Imager (OLI) onboard the Landsat 9 satellite captured this image of the White Sands National Park on May 13, 2024.
This area has been used for Radiometric Calibration of a variety of satellite sensors. The USGS EROS Cal/Val Center of Excellence (ECCOE) Test Sites Catalog contains worldwide test sites for the calibration and post-launch characterization of space-based optical imaging sensors.
