What does this tool do?

The ScienceBase Data Release (SBDR) summary dashboard aggregates information about USGS science centers' ScienceBase data releases. The dashboard uses cached information, retrieved every 15 minutes from ScienceBase, to generate the values and graphs on data releases in ScienceBase. Web analytics, such as the number of views and data downloads, are retrieved once per day.

Who is the audience for this tool?

The primary audience for the SBDR summary dashboard is USGS data managers, center directors, and leadership to aid in understanding how much data is released through ScienceBase, who is releasing the data, and how often the data are viewed or downloaded. USGS researchers releasing data through ScienceBase may also find these metrics useful.

How do I get started?

Visit the main summary dashboard page, then filter by science center or date as needed. Download the resulting data table as a CSV, if desired.
