Detailed Description
Lake Lenore Caves are a series of overhangs along the cliffs along the Grand Coulee. The caves (not caverns) formed from both erosion from waterfalls spilling into the Grand Coulee and by exfoliation of a crumbly basalt layer between more massive and resistant lava flows within the Columbia River Basalt series.
