LIMA Image
Detailed Description
In the International Polar Year 2007-2008, Landsat 7 brought the coldest continent to life with high resolution satellite imagery.
An international collaboration between The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica (LIMA) increased accessibility to the southernmost environment on the planet.
