Northern Lake Michigan lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) and burbot (Lota lota) diet data, 2021-2023

These data consist of lake trout and burbot diet information collected from USGS spring and fall gillnet surveys in Northern Lake Michigan from 2021-2023. All prey were identified, enumerated and weighed. Only fish prey had lengths measured.

Remote sensing and field data supporting the analysis of Maryland winter cover crop performance, 2019-2021

This data release includes winter cover crop field sampling data (2006-2021) collected from Maryland farms, along with two seasons of Maryland cost-share program field enrollment data (2019-20 and 2020-21) and associated satellite-derived vegetation index values, supporting the remote sensing analysis of winter cover crop environmental performance on fields receiving incentive payments. Body Mass of Dabbling and Diving Ducks Harvested in California

Body mass data (measured in grams) of dabbling and diving ducks harvested in three regions of California: Sacramento Valley, Suisun Marsh, and San Joaquin Valley during the 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2018/2019, and 2019/2020 hunting seasons. In addition to mass, the flattened length of right wing, species, sex, age, and date of harvest were also recorded. These data support the following pu

Metabarcoding of environmental DNA samples collected below Jackson Lake Dam (Wyoming) and Palisades Reservoir (Idaho) in 2021-2022

These metadata contain links to the original sequences on GenBank. These data show the final OTU and metadata tables for each environmental sample collected. Additionally, we included OTU tables resulting from bioinformatic decontamination steps (using microDecon) in R.

Wyoming road age and traffic volume estimated with machine learning and graph theory

We provide a roads dataset that includes the spatial location of roads, the estimated age of each road, and the predicted traffic volume of each road between 1986 and 2020 in Wyoming, USA. Our annual estimates of traffic volume are available for each road and include estimates for all vehicles and truck only traffic. Moreover, we provide the estimated age of each road, where a minimum value of 198

The Extended Global Lake area, Climate, and Population Dataset (GLCP)

A changing climate and increasing human population necessitate understanding global freshwater availability and temporal variability. To examine lake freshwater availability from local-to-global and monthly-to-decadal scales, we created the Global Lake area, Climate, and Population (GLCP) dataset, which contains annual lake surface area for 1.42 million lakes with paired annual basin-level climate

Thin section images, automated mineralogy scans, lithogeochemistry, and Nd-Sr-Pb isotopic analysis of samples from a mostly buried layered mafic intrusion, Wet Mountains, Colorado 2022-2024

This dataset includes thin section images, automated mineralogy mineral maps, whole-rock geochemical data, and whole-rock Nd-Sr-Pb isotopic analysis of samples collected from nine mafic-ultramafic outcrops in the Wet Mountains, southern Colorado, during the summer of 2022. These data will accompany an upcoming journal publication and are intended to supplement recently collected airborne magnetic

Eelgrass (Zostera marina) Maps from 2016 and 2020, Izembek Lagoon, Alaska

This data package includes 40 geospatial rasters (maps) depicting various metrics about eelgrass (Zostera marina) coverage at Izembek Lagoon, Alaska, during 2016 and 2020. Two maps were produced from two Sentinel-2 satellite images collected on July 1, 2016, and August 14, 2020. Spectral classes derived from each satellite image were annotated and mapped based on data collected in the field at plo

Elevation change in the watershed of Rito de los Frijoles, Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico from 2010 to 2016

Intense precipitation following the June 2011 Las Conchas Fire in the Jemez Mountains, New Mexico, led to widespread debris flows in the watershed of Rito de los Frijoles in Bandelier National Monument. Sediment eroded by these debris flows was transported along Rito de los Frijoles during floods in 2011 and 2013. This dataset contains two tabular files and one raster digital file. The tabular dig

GIS shapefile and summary tables of the extent of irrigated agricultural land use for 11 counties fully or partially within the St. Johns River Water Management District Florida, 2022–23

A Geographic Information System shapefile and summary tables of the extent of irrigated agricultural land-use are provided for eleven counties fully or partially within the St. Johns River Water Management District (full-county extents of: Brevard, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Indian River, Nassau, Osceola, Putnam, Seminole, St. Johns, and Volusia counties). These files were compiled through a cooperativ

Data and rloadest models used to estimate sediment and nutrient loads in selected New York tributaries to eastern Lake Erie

This data release contains data and rloadest models used to estimate sediment and nutrient loads in selected New York tributaries to eastern Lake Erie. Load estimates for suspended sediment and nutrients were calculated using rloadest (Lorenz and others, 2013; Runkel and De Cicco, 2017) models. Included are a zip file with input and output files for selected rloadest models for 13 U.S. Geological

Concentrations of 1,4-Dioxane, Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances (PFAS), Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), Methyl Tert-Butyl Ether (MTBE), and Trihalomethanes (THMs) in Groundwater, Nassau County, New York, 2019-2022

This data release contains 1-4 dioxane, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), and trihalomethanes (THMs) concentration data from groundwater samples collected from 78 monitoring wells in Nassau County New York. Samples were collected from May 2019 through December 2022 at wells ranging in depth from twenty-three feet to 875 feet. Al
