Aleyna Singer
I am an intern supporting the Stakeholder Engagement and Communications project within the Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program. I am leading the development of an approaching storms story that focuses on USGS tools and products available to address the needs of emergency managers.
My passion in research has primarily been animal behavior, and how we manage and improve relationships with wildlife. This interest has led me to supporting research scientists by reviewing and identifying animals in remote sensing data and verifying identification matches for wild dolphins. I belonged to a research lab that focused on Species Distribution Models, which advanced my critical thinking. My current role at USGS allows my scientific background, and my interest in making science impact lives, intersect.
