Aquatic Invasive Species Monitoring

One of the first applications of eDNA was for early detection and rapid response of aquatic invasive species. The Pacific Northwest eDNA Lab is working with multiple partners to improve detection of species including dreissenid mussels, and to track the progress of efforts to eradicate invasive species, such as the American Bullfrog from parts of the Pacific Northwest.
