Harmonized Landsat and Sentinel-2 (HLS) data are here!
HLS: Spring Fieldwork in Northeast China
Detailed Description
Harmonized Landsat and Sentinel-2 (HLS) data are here!
The LP DAAC and the HLS Science Team are pleased to announce the release of Harmonized Landsat and Sentinel-2 (HLS) version 2.0 surface reflectance products. HLS data are composed of observations from Landsat 8 and Sentinel-2 and provide a set of seamless data products that can be utilized as if all observations were obtained from a single sensor, providing a global observation of the land every 2-3 days at 30-meter spatial resolution. This is beneficial for observing seasonality changes and agriculture. This video shows changes in an agricultural area near the border of China and Russia from Mar 26 through Apr 22, 2019.
Data are now available for this past month with historical and forward processing on-going. Once the historical processing has been completed the L30 data will be available from May 2013 to present and the S30 data will be available from December 2015 to present.

The LP DAAC is one of the NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) DAACs and operates as a partnership with the United States Geological Survey (USGS). It is located at the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The LP DAAC ingests, archives, processes, and distributes NASA Earth science land processes data and information.
