Bird Banding Notes Vol. 5 No. 1, December 1964

Prior to Memo to All Banders, the Bird Banding Laboratory utilized Bird Banding Notes to communicate with banders between 1992 and 1966, issuing a total of 6 volumes. Vol. 5 No. 1 of the Bird Banding Notes was released in December 1964. Subjects in this note are 1. A tribute to Allen J. Duvall; 2. The banding program; 3. Permit renewal; 4. Mist net permits; 5. Applications for new permits; 6. 1964 banding schedules; 7. The using and reporting of bands; 8. “Mystery bands;” 9. The use of Bird Banding Notes; 10. Season’s Greetings; and 11. Tabulations of bandings reported each year 1950 to 1953.
