JACIE Workshop Presentations Search Tool

Annual Joint Agency Commercial Imagery Evaluation (JACIE) workshops engage federal agencies, their partners, and the commercial remote sensing industry to understand the characteristics and capabilities of current and new data sources, along with the quality of data they provide. This tool allows the searching of presentations from the workshops, that started in 2001.

Visualizing Models for Avian Influenza Viruses

Emergence of avian influenza viruses with the potential to be highly pathogenic to poultry, wild birds, & humans, such as the highly pathogenic H5N1 and H7N9 cause serious concern for the global economic & public health sectors. Visual representations of model data can be effective in helping to discover how the spread of the virus is influenced by environmental & human

EarthNow! Landsat Image Viewer

The EarthNow! Landsat Image Viewer displays imagery in near real-time as Landsat satellites orbit the Earth. Along with the near real-time video stream, EarthNow! also replays acquisition recordings from previous Landsat overpasses. When Landsat satellites are out of viewing range of a ground station, the most recent overpass is displayed.

Landsat's View of the USA

How does your state use Landsat satellite data? Find out here! For each state, you can download a satellite image, put together an online puzzle, or read a USGS Fact Sheet that contains information about the benefits of Landsat.

Invasive Carp Open Data Hub

The Invasive Carp Open Data Hub is a platform for exploring and accessing USGS data, tools, applications, and publications related to invasive carp research and management.

Runoff Estimates for California

Streams, rivers, lakes and reservoirs are important natural resources for irrigation, public supply, wetlands and wildlife. Excess precipitation that flows into these sources is called runoff, and it's an important drought indicator. The California Water Science Center tracks both monthly and annual runoff.

PeakFQ

The PeakFQ application performs peak-flow frequency analysis to evaluate flood frequency on rivers and streams.

Interactive Tableau supplement for 'Climate futures for lizards and snakes in western North America may result in new species management issues'

This data visualization displays the results of distribution models for 130 snake and lizard species in western North America under six time-by-climate scenarios.

ECCOE Landsat Quarterly Calibration and Validation Reports

The USGS EROS Cal/Val Center of Excellence (ECCOE) Landsat Cal/Val Team, along with their NASA counterparts, maintains primary responsibility for radiometric and geometric characterization and the calibration and validation of the Landsat instruments and spacecrafts. This work includes both the ongoing operations of active Landsat missions, as well as the retired Landsat missions.

Philadelphia Water Resources Monitoring

The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) and USGS have been working together to create and expand the water-quality monitoring network for Philadelphia. Data from these gaging stations will allow PWD scientists and engineers to monitor spatial and temporal water quality/quantity trends in support of watershed restoration initiatives occurring in Philadelphia.

Groundwater Climate Response Network Mapper

The USGS Groundwater Climate Response Network (CRN) is a system of wells and springs selected to monitor the effects of climate variability on groundwater systems nationwide.

Earth Observing Satellites Online Compendium

The Earth Observing Satellites Online Compendium contains details about past, present and future Earth observing satellites and the sensors they carry. This information compiled by staff at the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
