Detailed Description
On August 15, the outgoing tide caused a large release of cyanobacteria (mostly Microcystis) causing phycocyanin, the blue-green pigment, indicative of HABs, to shoot up. Photosynthesis resulted in the pH reaching nearly 9.6 standard units, and the oxygen to 175% saturation. Provisional data.
