Detailed Description
Estimated changes in exotic annual grass abundance (2040-2018) overlain by outlines of historical sage-grouse habitat. Transparency corresponds with model uncertainties, as calculated using a range of future climate estimates, and bubble size indicates the fraction of new growth (i.e. proportion of area with transition to greater than 10% cover; legend not to scale). Inset: Proposed Bureau of Land Management fuel break locations in the Great Basin draped over historical estimates of long-term (1985-2019) wildfire risk as made in this study.
