Figure 2 from "Widespread global increase in intense lake phytoplankton blooms since the 1980s," published in the Journal Nature in October of 2019: Time series for lakes with at least 14 years of data (n = 49) categorized by historical pathway. Grey lines show 5-year moving averages of normalized bloom intensity, with coloured lines showing pathway averages across lakes.
