Ice formation looking upstream on the Knife River at Manning, North Dakota (U.S. Geological Survey streamgage 06339100;
https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nd/nwis/inventory/?site_no=06339100&agency_cd=USGS&). Flow was 2.5 cubic feet per second. The 2010-11 winter conditions in North Dakota provided the proper environmental setting for the development of some of Nature’s unique features – ice formations.
