Detailed Description
The lava fountain reached heights of 320 m (1,050 ft) on November 18 and the lava channel between the west and east craters widened significantly. Falling lava fragments are building a new cone on the crater wall downwind (left) of the fountain. Photo taken at 1630 on November 18, 1959.
