Mission participates using the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park Visitor Center as the UAS ground station.

Josh Von Nonn (WGSC) and Keith Williams (Wingtra) on top of the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park Visitor Center using it as the UAS ground station to maintain visual line of site for the Wingtra flight missions.

In March of 2024 the NUSO, Western Geographic Science Center and the National Park Service conducted UAS operations over the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park. High resolution UAS data was collected at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park to support the evaluation of habitat use by Texas tortoise.
