Quaternary fault scarp

Detailed Description

This image depicts a Quaternary fault scarp running vertically across the center of the image, separating active sedimentation on the left from eroding mountain catchments on the right. The colors at the left of the image highlight areas of rough local topography created by active sedimentary processes (warm colors are rougher) and help reveal the recent history of sedimentation.
