Texas tortoise in the wild located at the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park.

In March of 2024 the NUSO, Western Geographic Science Center and the National Park Service conducted UAS operations over the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park. High resolution UAS data was collected at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park to support the evaluation of habitat use by Texas tortoise.
