Tsunami simulation from 2017 Mexico earthquake
Detailed Description
The largest wave (center) came directly from the seafloor movement caused by the earthquake. Left of that is a smaller wave that bounced off the shore, and then off the edge of the continental shelf, and back toward the coast. Screenshot from a tsunami simulation. Wave heights enlarged for better visibility.
