Detailed Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy (foreground) and the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Louis S. St-Laurent. The two icebreakers take turns breaking ice for each other as they collect bathymetric data (Healy) and seismic-reflection data (Louis) during joint operations in the Arctic. The ocean-acidifcation team is on the Healy.
