Strategies for improving the Washington State Hydrography Dataset (WASHD)
Detailed Description
Joshua Greenberg works at the Washington Department of Ecology as the Hydrography Steward. He has been very active in supporting professional GIS organizations within Washington, including being on the board of the local ASPRS chapter, WAGISA (WAURISA), and WAGIC co-chair. Josh earned his B.A. in Geography from the University of Vermont with a minor degree in Zoology. In 1991 he moved to Washington State where he completed his M.S. and Ph.D. from the U.W. College of Forest Resources Ecosystem Science program. After working for Skagit County GIS for 20 years, he took a position with Ecology to focus on improving the State hydrography data. When he is not being paid to geek out, he is often listening to music, flying his drone, paddling his homemade kayak, or cooking pizzas in his wood-fired oven.
