Ben Marcy-Quay is a Fish Biologist based in Millersburg, MI
I am a fisheries researcher at the Great Lakes Science Center’s Hammond Bay Biological Station where I support efforts to control invasive species and restore native fish communities. My work primarily seeks to understand fish population dynamics and often involves molecular techniques (e.g., population genetics and genomics). I am particularly interested in the development and application of kinship-based assessment methods as well as the tools required to implement them, such as marker panels, age estimation techniques, and modeling approaches.
