Joseph T Fleming
I began working for the U.S.G.S in the fall of 2009 as a student employee while finishing my degree in earth sciences.
As a student I concentrated on structural geology, Arkansas geology, geomorphology, and environmental geochemistry. In the summer of 2010 I finished my B.S. in Geology at the University of Arkansas at little Rock, and began working for The Little Rock Water Science Center full time as a hydrologic technician.
My duties at our center include surface water discharge measurements with hydro-acoustic equipment, water quality sampling on streams and lakes in the region, managing a network of continuous water quality meters, continue stage and discharge records for gaging stations, gage equipment installation, and assisting in the city of Hot Springs’ flood warning system.
