Connecticut River Basin StreamStats

StreamStats for the Connecticut River Basin (CRB) and the Connecticut River UnImpacted Streamflow Estimation (CRUISE) tool were developed in cooperation with the Northeast Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (NEAFWA) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC).

StreamStats for the Connecticut River Basin (CRB) is the first StreamStats application with boundaries that are based on a river basin rather than a state. This application was set up to allow basin delineations and to compute basin characteristics needed as input to the Connecticut River UnImpacted Streamflow Estimation (CRUISE) tool. CRUISE is a spreadsheet program that estimates daily streamflow for a 44-year (16,071-day) period of record spanning October 1, 1960 through September 30, 2004 for user-selected ungaged sites using information from an index streamgage and the basin characteristics provided by StreamStats. The CRUISE tool and documentation can be downloaded by clicking here. The document below describes use of StreamStats and CRUISE to estimate daily flows at ungaged sites:

The CRB StreamStats site has a unique user interface. The process needed to use this site to obtain information needed for the CRUISE application is explained in the CRUISE User Manual.
