Missouri St. Louis StreamStats

StreamStats for St. Louis, Missouri was developed in cooperation with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District.

A StreamStats application developed for the St. Louis metro area is the first to incorporate storm drain delineation functionality. This functionality utilizes lidar-based elevation data at a greater resolution than most other StreamStats applications. A checkbox in the left panel allows users to choose between delineating based only on surface contributing basins, or delineations that include surface contributing basins and the connected storm drain system. Additional details regarding development of this application can be found in the first report listed below. Regression equations for estimating urban peak flows with annual exceedance probabilities of 50, 20, 10, 4, 2, 1 and 0.2 percent. These peak flows have recurrence intervals of 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 500 years, respectively. Because these urban peakflow regression equations were not developed using streamgages which incorporated storm drain delineations, caution should be used when applying results to basins that include storm drain delineations. Additional details regarding these regression equations can be found in the second report listed below
