South Carolina StreamStats with new LiDAR-derived data provides an opportunity for greatly-improved accuracy over previous hydrologic models in South Carolina.

The U.S. Geological Survey South Atlantic Water Science Center, in cooperation with the South Carolina Department of Transportation, has developed a LiDAR-derived StreamStats application to calculate peak flow statistics for rural and urban watersheds, in addition to calculating several basin characteristics including precipitation, land use/land cover, and impervious surface area.
