Media Advisory: City of Pocatello, Idaho Silver Jackets to Dedicate New Portneuf River Flood Information Display
The USGS Idaho Water Science Center and other members of the Idaho Silver Jackets will join Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad to dedicate a new flood information sign on the Portneuf River.
Members of the news media are invited to attend a dedication ceremony for a new flood information sign on the Portneuf River in Pocatello. Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad will provide remarks on the importance of flood control and real-time river data provided by the U.S. Geological Survey streamgage where the display is installed. Mayor Blad will be welcomed by Roy Bartholomay, Director of the U.S. Geological Survey’s Idaho Water Science Center, and other members of the Idaho Silver Jackets flood risk management team.

Where: U.S. Geological Survey streamgage station 13075500, Portneuf River at Pocatello.
The streamgage is located on the Millward Mile path that parallels Riverside Drive between Maplewood Avenue and Ravine Drive (see map).
