The legislative framework for the mineral sector in Serbia is provided by the Law on Mining and Geological Explorations (Official Gazette RS No. 101/2015), which was amended on April 30, 2021; amendments align with regulations of the European Union and with the National Program for the Adoption of the Acquis. Mineral commodities were produced by domestic and joint ventures between domestic and foreign companies.
