Changing Symbols

If a structure has been labeled with the incorrect symbol (for example, a school serving students in grades PreK – 8 is labeled as an Elementary School when it should be labeled as a General School), then you need to update the symbol.  

Access the User Guide

To change the symbol representing a point: 

  1. Click on a point to open its edit history window. 
  2. Click on the edit button (pencil icon) in the upper right hand corner of the edit history window to open the point's editing window. 
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the editing window to view all the different symbol options. 
  4. Click on the symbol you would like to apply to the point, ensure all other attributes and the point's location are correct, and click save.
