Toxic exposure of songbirds to lead in the Southeast Missouri Lead Mining District

Mining and smelting in the Southeast Missouri Lead Mining District has caused widespread contamination of soils with lead (Pb) and other metals. Skin pathology in Hawaiian goldring surgeonfish, Ctenochaetus strigosus (Bennett)
