Daily energy expenditure in free-ranging Gopher Tortoises (Gopherus polyphemus)

Studies of ecological energetics in chelonians are rare. Here, we report the first measurements of daily energy expenditure (DEE) and water influx rates (WIRs) in free-ranging adult Gopher Tortoises (Gopherus polyphemus).
