Modified Land Cover Raster for the Upper Oconee Watershed

This dataset shows land cover in the Upper Oconee watershed. The data layer primarily uses the 2011 National Land Cover Database (NLCD) but was manually edited to include 2,219 additional reservoirs. The reservoirs were identified and digitized using 2010 National Aerial Imagery Program (NAIP) imagery.

Wabash River at Memorial Bridge, Vincennes, Indiana, Flood-Inundation Geospatial Data Sets and Metadata

Digital flood-inundation maps for a 10.2-mile reach of the Wabash River at Memorial Bridge at Vincennes, Indiana, were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. The flood-inundation maps, which can be accessed through the USGS Flood Inundation Mapping Science Web site at http://water.usgs.gov/osw/flood_inundation/, depict es

Transient Electromagnetic Sounding Data Collected in the San Luis Valley, Colorado Near Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve and the Alamosa National Wildlife Preserve (Field Seasons 2007, 2009, and 2011)

Time-domain electromagnetic (TEM) soundings were made in the San Luis Valley, Colorado to map the location of a blue clay unit as well as suspected faults. A total of 147 soundings were made near and in Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. An additional six soundings were made near Hansen Bluff on the eastern edge of the Alamosa National Wildlife Preserve. The blue clay is a significant hy

South Dakota Surface Water Data

Real-time, daily, peak-flow, field measurements, and statistics of current and historical data that describe stream levels, streamflow (discharge), reservoir and lake levels, surface-water quality, and rainfall in Wisconsin. Surface-water data are collected and stored as either discrete field-water-level measurements or as continuous time-series data from automated recorders.

South Dakota Water Quality Data

At selected surface-water and groundwater sites, the USGS maintains instruments that continuously record physical and chemical characteristics of the water including pH, specific conductance, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and percent dissolved-oxygen saturation. Supporting data such as air temperature and barometric pressure are also available at some sites.

South Dakota Ground Water Data

Data from wells, springs, test holes, tunnels, drains, and excavations in South Dakota; well location data includes information such as latitude and longitude, well depth, and aquifer. Groundwater level data are collected and stored as either discrete field-water-level measurements or as continuous time-series data from automated recorders.

North Dakota Surface Water Data

Real-time, daily, peak-flow, field measurements, and statistics of current and historical data that describe stream levels, streamflow (discharge), reservoir and lake levels, surface-water quality, and rainfall in Wisconsin. Surface-water data are collected and stored as either discrete field-water-level measurements or as continuous time-series data from automated recorders.

Single-Beam Bathymetry Data Collected in 2015 Nearshore Dauphin Island, Alabama

Dauphin Island, Alabama is a barrier island located in the Northern Gulf of Mexico that supports local residences, tourism, commercial infrastructure, and the historical Fort Gaines. During the past decade, Dauphin Island has been impacted by several major hurricanes (Ivan, 2004; Katrina, 2005; Isaac, 2012). Storms, along with sea level rise, present a continued threat to island stability. State a

Development of a Multimetric Index for Integrated Assessment of Salt Marsh Ecosystem Condition

Data Release for journal publication describing development of a multimetric index for assessing salt marsh condition in northeastern National Parks. This is the first application of an empirical, metric-selection algorithm to metrics from multiple trophic groups (vegetation and nekton). While MMIs derived from nekton or vegetation metrics alone were strongly correlated with human disturbance (r-v

Stream temperature data from Willow-Whitehorse and Little Blitzen watersheds, southeast Oregon, 2011-2015

This dataset includes stream temperatures from two data loggers installed at one site in the Little Blitzen River of SE Oregon as part of a redband trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss gairdnerii) study. The site was used as an undisturbed reference in comparison with similar temperature monitoring sites in the Willow-Whitehorse watershed that experienced a 2012 fire that burned nearly the entire watershed.

Air-water temperature data for the study of groundwater influence on stream thermal regimes in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia (ver. 2.0, May 3, 2018)

USGS Leetown Science Center scientists collected hourly air and water temperature data at 79 site locations within nine watersheds in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia over four water years (2012-2015). Data were collected using HOBO Pro V2 thermographs (accuracy = 0.2 degrees Celsius, drift = less than 0.1 degrees Celsius per year per year).
