Data associated with Sofaer and Jarnevich 'Accounting for sampling patterns reverses the relative importance of trade and climate for the global sharing of exotic plants'

These data were analyzed for the publication 'Accounting for sampling patterns reverses the relative importance of trade and climate for the global sharing of exotic plants': Aim: Exotic species distributions reflect patterns of human-mediated dispersal, species climatic tolerances, and a suite of other biotic and abiotic factors. The relative importance of each of these factors will shape how the

Rainfall data, maps and resources for Georgia, North and South Carolina

Precipitation data and related rainfall information, for the South Atlantic Water Science Center geographical region (Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina).

Datasets from maps of water-level changes in the High Plains aquifer in parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming, predevelopment (about 1950) to 2015

Dataset of wells used to create map and raster of map of water-level changes in the High Plains aquifer in parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming, predevelopment (about 1950) to 2015 and 2013 to 2015.

The influence of local- and landscape-level factors on wetland breeding birds in the Prairie Pothole Region of North and South Dakota dataset

The data set consists of data collected in 1995, 1996, and 1997 in wetlands in the Prairie Pothole Region of North Dakota and South Dakota. The data were summarized and used in the analysis for a U.S. Geological Survey Open File Report entitled: The influence of local- and landscape-level factors on wetland breeding birds in the Prairie Pothole Region of North and South Dakota. The data consist of

Plant functional traits, Colorado River, Grand Canyon, 2012-2014Data

These data were compiled or measured (depending on the trait) for 110 plant species which were documented in vegetation monitoring surveys in years 2012-2014 along the Colorado River through Grand Canyon National Park. New trait data was collected forspecific leaf area, stem specific gravity, δ13C, δ15N, percent carbon and nitrogen, and carbon/nitrogen ratio. Seed mass and plant height data were c

The role of alluvial aquifer sediments in attenuating a dissolved arsenic plume data release

In a crude-oil-contaminated sandy aquifer at the Bemidji site in northern Minnesota, biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons has resulted in release of naturally occurring As to groundwater under Fe-reducing conditions. This data set was collected for a study that used chemical extractions of aquifer sediments collected in 1993 and 2011-2014 to evaluate the relationship between Fe and As in diffe

Bouguer Gravity Data for the Island of Hawai`i

This data set includes gravity measurements for the Island of Hawai`i collected as the source data for "Deep magmatic structures of Hawaiian volcanoes, imaged by three-dimensional gravity models" (Kauahikaua, Hildenbrand, and Webring, 2000). Data for 3,611 observations are stored as a single table and disseminated in .CSV format. Each observation record includes values for field station ID, latitu

Disrupted carbon cycling in restored and unrestored urban streams: Critical timescales and controls

Inputs to the analyses documented in Larsen, L.G. and Harvey, J.W., in press, Disrupted carbon cycling in restored and unrestored urban streams: Critical timescales and controls: Limnology and Oceanography.

Hydrological Data Concerning Submarine Groundwater Discharge along the Western Margin of Indian River Lagoon, East-central Florida - December 2016 and January 2017

Indian River Lagoon, one of the most biologically diverse estuarine systems in the continental United States, is a shallow brackish lagoon stretching along approximately 200 kilometers (km) of the Atlantic coast of central Florida. Lagoon width varies from ~0.5 - 9.0 km, with substantial human infrastructure lining both shores. Scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) St. Petersburg Coast

Soil-Water Balance Groundwater Recharge Model Results for the Upper Colorado River Basin

This USGS Data Release represents Soil-Water Balance (SWB) groundwater recharge modeling results for the Upper Colorado River Basin (UCRB). The data release was produced in compliance with 'open data' requirements as way to make the scientific products associated with USGS research efforts and publications available to the public. There are 3 separate datasets associated with this Data Release: 1.

EAARL Coastal Topography-Northwest Florida, Post-Hurricane Katrina, 2005

These datasets, prepared by the U.S. Geological Survey St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center, provide lidar-derived first-surface and bare-earth topography for a portion of northwest Florida. Elevation measurements were acquired by the Experimental Advanced Airborne Research Lidar (EAARL) in September 2005, immediately following Hurricane Katrina landfall.
