The Golden Trout Wilderness occupies 457 square miles in the southern Sierra Nevada range of California, south of Sequoia National Park. The study area includes at least a part of the Kern Peak, Olancha, Mineral King, Hockett Peak, Camp Nelson, and Manache Mountain 15-minute quadrangle maps. It is contained totally within lands belonging to the Inyo and Sequoia National Forests.

Geochemical sampling of the Bunk Robinson Peak and Whitmire Canyon Roadless Areas was completed in the spring of 1980. The purpose of the geochemical sampling was to determine if certain metals, and "pathfinder" elements in heavy-mineral concentrates and stream sediments are enriched beyond normal black-ground amounts. The Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness covers almost 2,000 mi2 in east-central Idaho and western Montana (fig. 1). The wilderness lies across the Bitterroot Range, which forms the boundary between Idaho and Montana, and includes large portions of the drainages of the Selway, Lochsa, and Bitterroot Rivers. Geologic and aeromagnetic maps and mineral resource potential survey of the Blackjack Springs Wilderness, Vilas County, Wisconsin
The mineral resource potential of the Blackjack Springs Wilderness in the Nicolet National Forest, Vilas County, Wisc., was evaluated in 1982. No bedrock exposures are known in or near the wilderness. Geophysical data and regional geologic relations suggest that the area consists mostly of recrystallized and deformed mafic volcanic rocks and associated mafic intrusives of Early Proterozoic age.
