Software
An official USGS software project is code reviewed and approved at the bureau-level for distribution.
MODFLOW Data Extractor Program
MODFLOW Data Extractor is a program for extracting data from formatted and labeled MODFLOW head or drawdown files from MODFLOW-GWT concentration or velocity files.
SSR_pipeline: Computer Software for the Identification of Microsatellite Sequences from Paired-End Illumina High-Throughput DNA Sequence Data
SSR_pipeline is a flexible set of programs designed to efficiently identify simple sequence repeats (SSRs; for example, microsatellites) from paired-end high-throughput Illumina DNA sequencing data.

Utility and Vulnerability Ranking Programs for Terrestrial Vertebrates
To assist decision makers in risk assessments, two sets of indices have been developed to rank terrestrial vertebrates for their utility in biomonitoring and susceptibility.
bi-transect-extractor
This package is used to calculate coastal geomorphology variables along shore-normal transects. The calculated variables are used as inputs for modeling geomorphology using a Bayesian Network (BN).

Software - MODFLOW
MODFLOW is the USGS's modular hydrologic model. MODFLOW is considered an international standard for simulating and predicting groundwater conditions and groundwater/surface-water interactions.
API - Stream Trace
The Streamer Trace API is a programming interface written in JavaScript designed to add up- and downstream traces to an ESRI ArcGIS API for JavaScript (ESRI JSAPI) web map using the same methods and services created for the Streamer application.
API - Graphing Water Information System (GWIS)
GWIS (Graphing Water Information System) Javascript library can create time-series plots of information measured at USGS hydrologic data collection sites across the US. Developed by the USGS Texas Water Science Center, the user-friendly interface integrates the open-source dygraphs JavaScript charting library with the hydrologic data provided by USGS water services.
Bandit Software
Bandit was the latest in a series of desktop applications aimed at helping bird banders manage and submit their data for banded birds of its time. Bandit was created by the Bird Banding Laboratory (BBL) at the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, Laurel, MD. Banders can now use the Bander Portal web application to submit their banding and recapture data.
Contaminant Exposure and Effects-Terrestrial Vertebrates database (CEE-TV)
The Contaminant Exposure and Effects-Terrestrial Vertebrates database (CEE-TV) contains contaminant exposure and effects information for terrestrial vertebrates (birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles) that reside in estuarine and coastal habitats along the Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Coasts including Alaska and Hawaii and in the Great Lakes Region.
